Tige - history of the company

By the time Charlie Pigeon set up his own company, he already had 18 years of experience working in large companies that produced MasterCraft, Supra and Malibu Boats speed boats for water sports. Pigeon formulated his task as follows: to create a product that would satisfy 100% of customers.

The first Tige boat appeared on the market in 1992 and immediately received the title “Breakthrough of the Year” in one of the specialized magazines.

In 1995, Tige developed the TAPS (Tigé Adjustable Performance System), a boat hull trim system that allows you to change the waveform, and in 1996 the company switched to the production of wakeboard boats. Tige began sponsoring a team of athletes by popularizing wakeboards. In 2003, Tige patented its other inventions - the TAPS2 system and the Convex V type housing, which allow you to quickly change the wave settings for the needs of this wakeboarder.

The Tige Boats manufacturing and headquarters are located in Abilene, Texas. Production areas occupy more than 12.5 thousand m2. The shipyard employs about 250 people. Tige invites everyone to come and inspect the production in person - you can order a tour to the shipyard or test drive your favorite model directly on the company's website. The company has a developed dealer network in the USA, as well as representatives in Europe, Japan, Australia, Colombia, South Africa, and Russia. Tige Boats builds and sells more than 1000 boats a year.

The Tige Boats range includes sports towing boats for wake surfing or wakeboarding from 6 to 7.6 meters long and with a capacity of 12-19 passengers. Tige boats have a high basic configuration and have a set of options to maximize individualization of the boat.

Tige boats are adapted to modern requirements and equipped with fine-tuning systems for different levels of riding. The Convex AVX system allows you to select five options for ballast systems for different sports and athlete qualifications. The ballast system is controlled at the touch of a button. The TAPS2 system allows you to finely adjust the size and shape of the wave.
